With lots of questions, nervousness and the just the dictionary definition of digital marketing, I entered my office. Day one and I already had a whole project to execute.
As days passed, I started becoming familiar with everyone else at Niswey and began to learn not only about the work but the surroundings as well. There was this one thing I learnt at Niswey- learning never stops.
I joined Niswey to learn about digital marketing and in return I gained so much knowledge.
There was so much to learn from the workshops that were conducted on various tools that we were asked to use first and then explain to everyone else; the goals session where everyone would discuss their goals and take feedback on how to achieve it in better ways.
Moreover, you could walk up to anyone, any time of the day, with your questions (logical or illogical) and they were always ready to help.
Niswey takes special care to execute this adage. Apart from serious work and meeting deadlines, we love to party. At Niswey, every Friday (sometimes alternate) is a party day where we all sit back, talk, laugh and munch away to glory.
As I said, munching away!
Looking back at those 3 months that I spent at Niswey, I realised that whatever I know today about digital marketing is only because of the exposure that was given to me . Juggling various tasks, managing my time well, and working out of my comfort zone ultimately made me more responsible for my work. I learnt a lot, not only about the work but also the work environment which involves different people with different temperaments and different ways of working.
Niswey helped me develop a sense of responsibility for not only my achievements and successes but also my failures. The knowledge I gained and the experiences I gathered, have helped me become a better professional and a better person. I have a long way to go, but my time at Niswey was definitely a great (and memorable) first step.
And it’s all here in this brief presentation (MBA habits die hard):
Update: Roopali went on to win the Award of Excellence for her Summer Internship Project, at her college, IBS Gurgaon. Of course, we are super proud of her! But come on, there was no way they wouldn’t give it to her. She was just that good.
